Iraq War Debate: Republicans reach new intellectual nadir

Well, those Senate Republicans have hit nadir yet again; a new low. It's like they're competing with the House Republicans. I don't think it can get any more pathetic. This is just more proof that this war was more of a personal/family/ideological vendetta, not a serious national security issue.

We are now told by Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) that -- in addition to the WMD BS and the al-Qaeda BS -- we really went to war with Saddam Hussein in 2003 to prevent him from being "...able to continue to say -- and actually say with conviction, and some honesty -- that he had won the 1991 Gulf War." On top of this bit of buffoonery, he states, incorrectly, that most of America was primarily behind that rational.
