    What a Rush !

I'm not going to comment much on Mr. Limbaugh's personal matters, I would want the same if it were me who was caught. I just hope he apologizes to all those he has insulted and threatened for their drug problems. It does say a lot about the moral authority embraced by Rush and all of his acolytes. In the future, I hope he realizes his ability to live life without drugs.

    Anyway, what a great mugshot!

That glint off of the teeth is priceless. Put this next to DeLay's pic and we'll call them the proud Republican/conservative felons with a moral superiority over us all.

Where will Bush go after his term (impeachment?) is up?

He's moving to Mexico. Because, you know, it has been "hard work."
Possessing marijuana, cocaine and even heroin will no longer be a crime in Mexico if the drugs are carried in small amounts for personal use, under legislation passed by the Mexican Congress.

The measure given final passage by senators late on Thursday allows police to focus on their battle against major drug dealers, the government says, and President
Vicente Fox is expected to sign it into law.

I hear alcohol is legal their as well.

UberNationalist blogger spews more anti-Latino filth

I was reading this article from Reuters about Mr. Bush's contempt for the new Spanish version of the "Star-Spangled Banner". I had to comment when I saw this in the second paragraph:
One Internet columnist dubbed it "The Illegal Alien Anthem."

Now who could that be? But only the most hateful blogger in America, Bill O'Reilly's pet, Michelle Malkin.

You can't win by just killing 'em

When will we learn that killing an important leader of an insurgency or movement won't necessarily stop the movement or the insurgency. In fact it is often the opposite. I'm not advocating that we quit taking the fight to them. I'm suggesting that the US PsyOpps unit, or whomever, quit making these announcements and the media quit taking the bait.

Anyone who thinks al Qaeda will cease to exist after we kill UBL (which I doubt we or our allies will ever do) is so utterly wrong. The same goes for the melting pot of nationalisms - including our own - in Iraq right now. When nationalism clash, people die. Our nationalism is what brought us there, much to my objection because I'm not a nationalist and don't believe liars, and it currently is upsetting the many nationalisms that exist in Iraq and the greater Middle East. And it won't end with one captured or killed because the idea exists. It is a fight for human spirit, not casualty counts.

If the insurgency was to knock off our head military guy over there, do you think we'd quit?

Let's play: Who am I talking about?

Who would you first think of when you read this quote, who is it about?
"Let's put it this way: Tensions had been building up between us for a long time ... He always thinks he is right, even if he is alone."

    take a minute...

Any reader on the left or center (and many from the right) would probably believe that this is a quote of Powell WRT bush or Rummy or something like that.

But, this is a quote of Montasser el-Zayat - and Egyptian lawyer that spent time in jail with Ayman al-Zawahiri - of al-Zawahiri, deputy leader of al-Qaeda.

That was tough, the two are soooo similar.

What would you do if you had a second chance at a mistake?

    AddThis Social Bookmark Button
This says just about all you need to know about the Bush Presidency:
President Bush today said mistakes were made in planning for the Iraq invasion, but he defended the troop level he ordered in the initial strike, saying he would have committed the same number if given a second chance.

Now I suppose this only means the initial drive to Baghdad, and if so still quite a statement. But if it was WRT the war to win the peace - after the mission was (he he) accomplished - then we have another exhibit of the stubborn arrogance that will be a definitive part of the Bush legacy. At this rate that might be one of his better qualities...
